Mary Jane candy is a chewy taffy made with peanut butter and molasses. It's a nostalgic treat that's been popular in New England for generations. 

Atkinson Candy Company in Lufkin, Texas manufactures Mary Jane candy under a licensing agreement with Spangler Candy Company, the brand owner. The candy was previously made by the New England Confectionary Company (Necco) until their factory closed.
